rx1 vs. srx 700

Had a 2001 srx bought from friend who bought rx1. He was not happy his old sled beat his rx1. Every where top mid range bottom end. He was about same weight as me to.

I must have a good clutch set up then, because I outran every rx1 and apex I have ridden with for miles on a lake and pulling away

The RX1 was got long legs and will show them better once they have a couple thousand miles on them. Like any other sled though they won't cut it if you don't keep them in shape. Taking care of the undercarriage to keep rolling resistance down makes a big difference. Bearings, slides, track tension, suspension setup, etc can make a big difference, even with two otherwise identical sleds.

I've got an 03 and don't usually have much trouble with an SRX on the top (if it's stock).

Just how fast is an RX1? I know my 2000 SRX would pull 120 on the radar gun on ice when it was still stock....Long run but it would get there.

NBSSR radar runs I have never seen an RX1 beat an SRX in stock form. With a stock SRX we run 119 MPH in 2000 ft run. Don,t think a stock RX1 would get there if it ran twice that distance..

A Stock RX1 should pull around 110 to 112 on glare ice. A Srx should be around 115 to 118. I have even seen some real good ones crack 120. If you go by speedometer readings the RX1 is WAY faster. You should be seeing in the 130s on the speedo.

This thread has been done to death in the past. A good running 00-02 srx will crush a rx-1. Owned both & ran this race a gazillion times with dialed in sleds.

I RACED MANY RX-1 WITH MY 2002 SRX ON OUR AIRSTRIP WHEN THESE SLEDS WERE NEW. STRIP IS 1/2 MILE, MY 2002 SRX WOULD WALK RIGHT ON BY THEM , AND NOT ONLY WAS MY SRX BOX STOCK, NO STUDS. ONE THING THAT HURTS RX-1 IS EXTREMELY HEAVY. 3:16 (yammie tony)

My 03 RX1 stock with doo SC10 III skid ran 118 on radar in 2000' many many times. I have also seen a 2000 SRX run 120 (me riding) in same distance.

ive never had an rx1 come even close the srx i had, and all i had was some clutching. srx is takes a hell of a sled to get out in front of it, especially on top end unless someone has put on long lug track to bog it down or something of that nature.
