ok , cdi is ok , ignition coils are ok, When i test the stator and pick up coil for ohms i get a reading from the stator when i touch each probe to a wire but no reading if i put the ground probe on the block and the other probe to the wire , does that sound ok , also no reading either way on the pick up coil , also can anybody tell me where the grounds are on a 02 viper , i thought they would be external grounds on the block but i cant find anything ....HELP !!!! #$%&*
 

One ground is under the plastic cowl on the left and right hand side (think there's one on each side) on the "u" shape that the steering column attaches to.

sounds like you need to check and see if the pulser coil and charge coil is working, place a digital voltmeter in the pulse coil wire and have a friend pull the sled over, the voltage should vary, not alot of voltage, but this will tell you its working, then do the charge coil, same thing, if these check out, check the wires again further up the harness before the cdi box, then after the cdi box to the coils. Set your volt meter on the dc scale at 20.

LaLaLa ;):D oh ya baby, burnin2strokeoil is back in action .dahm pick up coil went bad ..thats what ya get for letting the thing sit outside all summer .....THANK YOU to all for the help !!!! you know all is good when the wife says you smell like oil and gas ...
 
not in my back yard jwiffer, and i have to go to the mother in laws this weekend ;):D ..but they have snow north about 4hrs. lots of snow .....i wont get a ride in till after x-mas :o| ...oh well its just around the corner .... ;)!
