I have a roll of left over header wrap I used on my blazer and I'm wondering if I can use this on my sled and will it help? It's DEI 2" , my sled is 00' MM700 with bored silencer and single pipe .

rappin the pipe will make it hotter and change the operating rpm of the pipe as hotter ex travels at diff speed . i used ex spacer on my 700 , lowered op rpm but more pull down low , love it

old school look
Yeah it's for the look and under hood temp decrease . I like the old school look of wrapped exhaust headers and rat rod style . But don't want to do it if it will effect performance . So if it decreases rpm then do you adjust the primary accordingly to bring it back up to 8500 ??

I wouldn't do it. I did a couples sets a few years ago and the wrap hold the moisture in and rust the pipes. The only reason to wrap or ceramic coat pipes is to change the operating range of them. Plus ceramic looks bling bling...........SRXtreme
