hey fellas, i cant seem to be getting enough traction with the heel clicker setup off the launch and have some more studs laying around the garage i would like to install. I lost my track cutting tool so can i just use a plain old drill bit? I can't see there being much difference, after all a hole is a hole right? lol

i use a cheap method it's a aluminun arrow cut it about 3'inche piece w/ pipe cutter works good burns the hole.drill bit is bad tears

DON't use a drill bit!!! It will not cut a hole it will rip a hole and pull belting out of the track. I'd try the arrow trick first.

use a fostners bit, used for woodworking, drill slowly and it will cut a nice hole in it, not a drill bit thats twisted.

Hmm - never thought about using one.

FYI - in case one would want to Google for info, - Forstner

we use to heat a bolt/stud of the appropriate diameter and melt it thru the track years ago. that would be better then a drill bit and cheap if your only adding a few studs, otherwise a cutting tool is your best bet. ;)!

go to Royal Distributing..they have them track hole cutters pretty cheap there. Wouldn't want to see you start your track on fire, then your sled and then your garage/house..
