Ok - so my nephew was ditch bangin and heard a pop/clunk and the engine died. Could not pull the starter. Dragged it home. Tried to turn the clutch - no go. Pulled off the top end and the jugs - pistons are not seized. The spark plugs did look hot though. I am assuming the worst and think the crank shaft might be buggered. I did pull off the pull coil to see if anything was jammed in there - i had a bolt fall out once and did the same thing. Does not appear to be so. If the oil pump froze, would it have this symptom too? Its an ET300. Any thoughts before I do a full blown tear down?

Inspect the case, if a needle brg came out it may have lodged itself between the crank and case. Many times this will crack the case. Al
Thanks Al - I will be pulling it all apart and going for full rebuild- on that note, I may have scored an Exciter 440 engine......I may pull my motor out of my ET340 and put that in the ET300 and then drop the 440 into my Enticer 340...should have some fun with that! Then eventually throw the 300 into the ET250....
I've also read that getting those 440's into an Enticer can be a PIA, so I need to do a little homework.
