Here are a few pics of my finished 77 srx project. I got the sled last New Years day so figured I better get it together before the end of this year. Many thanks to YAMIGOD3:16 for all your help and answers and to dynofun for parts and answers.

Great job! You now own one of the greatest works of art in snowmobiling history! Congrats!

77 srx

Sled looks awsome, nice job. One thing wrong is the brackets to keep your leaf springs from rolling are on the wrong side of the ski's.

He has the brackets correct, they keep the ski/carbide from rolling over while turning left. I would loose that comet primary though.......

Very nice job on the sled!!

will it be a rider, or a looker???

Very Impressive!!! Super clean!!!

I have the original Yamaha clutch but I bought it with the Comet clutch on it and the bolt to hold it on is longer than the stock primary bolt and I havn't picked one up yet. I still have a few things to do yet but she's close to done. I would like to fire it up and it is put together to run but I might wait awhile on that.

polishing

You must of had countless hours in just polishing. Here is a pic of another nicely polished 77 SRX. This used to be Deano's here on TY. This was the last 77 he built. This one has never been fired either last I knew.

Nysrx, I wanted to buy that sled and had talked with deano on it but couldnt afford it at the time. You got yourself a sweet sled and it also has a delaughter built motor in it doesn't it?'

77 Srx

Yes one of my 77's does have a Delaughter motor and pipes. It has been tunnel ported with 48mm Carbs with some custom cut slides. It is still currently set up for grass with polymere track and whall suspension. It was repainted to match the 78 SRX. Jeff Laverie ended up with that sled from Deano. I ended up with Jeff's 77 that he repoped before he got the one from Deano.
