I just got done rebuilding the top end on my 79srx and now in the process of getting it running. It will start and run on one side only. It has good spark. I checked the coils and they ohm out good. The compression is 140. I just put in a new cdi from Hweteck. Cleaned the carbs and even went as far swaping them from right to left, but it didnt change the way it ran. I checked the pipes to see if there was a mouse nest but they were clear. I also put in new crank seals. Any help would be great! Thanks

I put a new Mikuni fuel pump on when I put the motor back in. It seams like it is getting enough fuel. There was some fuel coming out of the exhaust on the side that dosent want to run. It will pop once in a while. The spark plug looked like it was new when I pulled it out, but it was wet with gas. The other plug looks good.

ANYTIME YOU HAVE FUEL COMING OUT OF THE EXHAUST ITS A CARBERATION ISSUE. PROBLEY A FLOAT HEIGHT PROBLEM OR A BAD NEEDLE AND SEAT. ANOTHER WORDS SLED IS FLOODED. 3:16 (yammie tony)

After going through the carbs again I found that one of the needles was the wrong size. Iam not sure how the people had it running before I got it. Thanks for the help! I will try to get some pics. up when I get it all done. Thanks again!
