Hi. Put a new belt on my 06 vector which is now too tight. How do I adjust the deflection? Thanks

On the backside of your 2ndary clutch theres (3) 8mm bolts.Take them out and remove the washer's and reinstall bolt's.It will open the sheave up more.

tried that but the belt sits too low in the secondary. top of the belt is about 1/4 inch below top edge of clutch

either you have the wrong length belt or your center to center measurement is wacked out...

Belt is the same as I took off and called just to be sure and it is the correct belt for the sled. Nothing has been changed to alter the center to center distance. Old belt was in good shape, just had 1500 miles on it so I figured it was time for a new one.

Well if its to low in clutch then you need to add washers. Is it a 8dn belt ?

1/4" below the sheaves? Did you spin the clutches to allow them to self adjust? This is not normal at all. Try to rotate the clutches by running the engine and spinning the track for a little bit. Recheck the deflection. Al

X3. You need to run the sled with track lifted & let the clutches free-wheel to a stop.
