Finally got my clutching where i want it to be with the HC setup. 4300 engagement, 8400 top rpm. Hit 100mph on the dreamometer with ease and pretty quickly yesterday on a straight stretch and then let off....not sure what top end would be. Thanks to this site and Mr Viper 700 and Turk and a few others for the awesome advice, I've learned a lot from TY forums. Gotta another one for ya......Would my stock 8dn-00 weights loaded with 4.5 in both pull a better speed for 1000ft. radar run on an ice track? I know this heel clicker set up pulls like a raped ape to 100mph but was wondering if stock 99 weights loaded would yeild a better top speed in 1000ft. thanks fellas

I tried every which way when I had HC's in my SRX but could never overcome the loss of top speed issue. Was alot quicker getting to the triple digit mark and pulled your arms off most of the way there but definitely had more top end with the stock setup.

most guys use too shallow a finish angle on helix with hc,s. I used at least a 51/43 & got great top end.

All you can do is write down your set up you like and try to improve it, sometimes you find better, sometimes you go backwards. as far as other set weight up, again, you have to test. the whole trick is to keep good notes, so you know what did what and you dont try things over you already tested.

"He who keeps the best notes,WINS!!" :rulez:

about 2hrs away from you, I live in brookfield, right on the Ohio/Pa line.

Mr ViperThat's not far at all..If I can't get my Viper to quit falling on it's face when I go to do a hole shot would you take a look at it??? You seem to be very smart when it comes to sleds and it would be great if you have the time...If not that's OK too

sure, get ahold of me after holidays and we can dial her in on the test field, I have about 2000-2500ft long field, nice and smooth.

you just have to bring full beers and I will help you to empty them so you dont have to haul the extra weight back home...lol ;)!

MrViper I think we could be very good friends...I hope you drink Budweiser....LOL I'll let you know after the holidays...I just want my sled to perform like it should but I feel like it's missing something....It's got all the Bells and whistles I just want it to be right...Thanks for the feed back and look forward to poppin a few tops...
Thank you
Mike
