Hi, i used to have a 1979 enticer...loved it. Moved to New Mexico and ten years later I just bought a 1986 Excel 3 on cragslist.
I apparently have no pulse from the crankcase to power my fuel pump. After 10 minutes of blowing on the impulse tube I followed the air leak to the crank seal on the magneto side.
Pulled the magneto, stator etc...my question is....is the crank seal one piece or is there a smaller 2nd piece/ O-ring in there? Looks like an o-ring could go in there. If not then my cranks seal is bad, which comes to my second question.
Do I have to crack the crankcase to put a new seal in?
Really enjoy these sleds.
Thanks,
Chuck
