well pulled track and everything last night and went today to get new hyfax and bearings etc. pulled off the old hyfax, to find my rails worn completely though, the last idiot with the sled just put the hyfax back on to cover up the damaged rails.
what a horseshit day, now i am stuck trying to find a set of suspension rails...

I got a better (or worse) one for ya.
My brother and I bought a 97 Mach Z for 1200.00.
The both of us not knowing a whole lot about Ski Doo.
Farmer we bought it off said it had the 809 but no spark, said he had it running then it just dies. Figured it was the stator for sure right.
Wrong.
Farmer is a liar.
Never ran, wiring harness was terrible. Took a while to go through it all.
But, and this is the nasty part, the motor was not an 809. The motor was a 600.
Both tripples, not sure if they both have tripple pipes or not but....
Any ways.
Sure you could probably get an entire skid in the classified section.

I feel for you Spinner. When I bought my SRX 3 years ago,it was cold out..I wasn't dressed well enough to check the sled before I bought it..What did I know..motor ran and I was happy.I wanted the 02 SRX no matter what.Found out not to soon after thw w-arm was ready to fly apart.ordered new one.Anyways later by end of season was checking more..changing hy-fax and found the same as you .worn out rails, busted w-arm mounting brackets, worn out pretty bad skid overall. So I just purchased a whole new used skid from another member on here locally and went from there.
My sled was in a accident I suspect ..but at least the motor was strong..thankyou..

If you were closer I have an 02 Viper suspension sitting in the barn that you could grab parts from, but NY to MN is a little nuts on shipping

Sounds like a perfect excuse to UPGRADE. Do it, Do it, Do it. You should be able to find a used proaction skid for pretty cheap here in the midwest. Hit up Viperking on here he is near the MN boarder and has tons of srx stuff.

meat, i sent him a PM earlier, waiting on a reply. no upgrading, keeping the stock skid in here.
but question, what skids have the 01 srx rails which i could look at buying a whole skid locally, or to get the rails off it, just want to make sure what sleds i could look for being parted out and which rails are identical to my 01 rails.

If I am not mistaken, any proaction skid would work. 1997-2002 SX, SXR, SRX, XT, XTC.

I've got a set of rails sitting in the shed. They are off either an 00 or 02. Pulled skids from both sleds and not sure which set of rails I still have. Let me know if you want them and we can work something out.
Merry Christmas!!!!
I have a set of rails for you!!! FREE!!! you pay shipping from Michigan!!!
I have a skid that was PIF to me, I used a couple parts and have the rest all torn down and ready to box and ship!!!

They're P/N 8CR-W4741-00-00
Micro Fische says P/N 8DN-47411-00-00 or 8DN-47411-00-00 for the SRX....
I thought all Pro Action suspensions were the same....... can someone confirm if these will work or not???!!!
they're 121 rails!!!
looks to me like the only difference is the track tensioner comes as part of the rail on a V Max or SX and its a seperate part on the SRX......

97 rails have a differant shape than later years right where the transfer rods bolt up.

Are 00-02 srx rails all the same?
rails
I think in 2001 they positioned the trasfer bars alittle father back on the rails. They had better weight transfer that way. Not that you couldn't just drill a hole in a earlier year SRX rail to the same specs as a 01-02. I know the adjustable transfer bars were different part # for 98-00 and 01-02.

SRX suspension rails
I've dug into this a little over the last couple years, and this is what I can recall:
- 98-99 SRX all use the same rails, and these are the same as 97-99 SX (maybe VMAX as well?). PN is 8CR-W4741-00-00, but the riveted-on track tension bracket makes these unique for RH/LH. I believe the aluminum rails are the same.
-00-02 SRX all use the same rails, and there are RH/LH versions (perhaps due only to the track adjusters?). PN's 8DN-47411-00-00 & 8DN-47412-00-00.
I believe these are unique to SRX only, as the transfer rod mounting location was moved forward compared to the earlier SRX - this is easy to see when looking at this mount area, as the transfer rod bolt is right out in the open next to the idler wheel, and easy to access with tools. This same bolt on the earlier suspensions is hidden behind the idler wheel, not so easy to get to.
I'd always confirm your application with current Yamaha fiche just to be sure, especially since it's so easy to look up on line, and also easy to verify with any dealer with a phone call.
Good luck,
Ron

these are the rails I have..... the large rear bougie does cover the lower transfer rod bolt when assembled.
Let me know if these will work or not!!!
If not I have someone else interested!!!

thstorms, I believe I have found a set here in MN also for the price of shipping and some gratuity money. I would like to put on an exact same part as on there now, which I believe yours are slightly different. I really appreciate the generosity, you truely are a great member
