Does anyone know if you can remove some of the studs from the track? I have a 97 Vmax 600 and the previous owner placed six studs per lug. I do not like studded tracks. I am looking at one more season with this track before a replacement can be purchased. If I remove some or all of these studs, will the track hold together? Thank You, Lee
You shouldn't have any problems if you remove the studs. Thats is a lot of studs, I hope you have good patience.

Wow thats alot of studs. Weight alone would kill ya. Keep 2 per lug in a V pattern for 96 studs. Good all around trail, ice corners, and stoping set up. CCC

Thanks for the advice. I think I will try the V pattern and see if I like it. I like the rear end to slide through the corners. Maybe I will still be able to ride this way with only 96. Thanks again and Ride hard/Ride safe!!!super1c said:Wow thats alot of studs. Weight alone would kill ya. Keep 2 per lug in a V pattern for 96 studs.
