How is it going guys!(and gals) New to the forum here and I just bought a couple sleds from a guy I work with! I am not sure of the year of it... Maybe an 82 or 83 440-SS. Does anyone know about "top-speed" or any sweet aftermarket parts for this sled???
Welcome! As far as top speed on the SS 440 goes, my '80 was lucky to see... well... 80 haha. But mine was geared down one tooth on the top and also had a comet clutch in it that was tuned for the machine and it also had approximately 25,000 miles on it. Not sure what the exact mileage was on it, the odometer quit working at some point. The engine was rebuilt once with Weisco pistons. Thats pretty much all I have for ya.

yeah thats pretty good actually! And the speeds sound about right. The old SS440's were a little underestimated back in the day if you ask me. They might not be the best in loose snow but you get 'em on some hard pack and they really take off!

I dont know of anyone with a sled for sale but I have a 2-up seat that will fit on your SS! haha.
