I know i dont post here much, especially in the off seasons but I just wanted to stop by and tell everybody here thanks and props for a great resource like this site. It was time to put a new track on my 01 SRX and i thought it would be a simple pop the chain case cover off, take off the gears and bearings drop the skid and the axle would fall right out but I quickly found out i was wrong. my father and law and I racked our brains trying to figure out how to get the axle out than i remembered this site, after a quick search i found out that I had to take parking brake apart and remove the entire chaincase to get the axle out. stupid design Yamaha! anyways, thanks to you guys for the great info and great site and safe riding everyone!

PS. put 140 miles on Saturday, first ride of the year and as always the old Yamaha ran like a top and the new track hooked up great!

What did ya slap in the old beast for a track?

My father in law gave me a nearly brand new (less than 200 miles on it) Hacksaw 1" with 144 woodys studs. needless to say it hooks a bit better than the stocker that had 4800 miles on it. lol
