Went out for the first ride this weekend and burned thru the oil. Filled the tank before I left. We rode 160 miles. I havd to add a quart at 100 miles. Any thoughts? I did not burn thru this much oil anytime last year.
failing pump, stuck or mal-adjusted pump cable. when the pumps fail they go wide open as a safety feature of sorts. this based on the assumption theres not a bunch of oil in the belly pan from a leaking oil line.
Make sure the connection in the cable where you adjust it is seated inside the other part of the cable. (by airbox) If this isn't put together it will pull the cable and burn alot of oil.
