Hey guys just put a 3.5inch Pivoting riser in my 2002 SX Viper. I was out riding for about 2 hours and it drank a whole tank of oil. I think I need to extend my oil line. If some one could point me in the right direction to get one that would be great. Is it hard to put on, and do I have to adjust it after I install it? Please help.
look for a set of 03 mtn viper cables. you might as well replace them all.

Did you make sure that the cable is reseated in the cable holder corectly. It can pull out in 2 spots. At the split with the trottle and where it is adjusted for oil usage. Check these. Very easy to pull out of place and miss. You should be fine with just a 3.5 riser. CCC

ScherBer - I have the same 3.5" ROX riser on my "02 Viper, and I did the mountain Vipr cables. I tried as many options as I could find to try to re-route the stock Viper cables, but always had one or another stretching or binding when I turned the bars back and forth. I wanted to make sure my cables were always slack so I didn't get a stuck throttle or something like that...I also extended the wiring to the controls and bar warmers to be safe. Can't remember what I did with the brake line.....

Guys just ordered the cable extenders... Will they be hard to put on, and do you have any advice on this project. I am going on a trip on Sunday, and have to have my viper ready.

that's too bad. extended cables would have been more worthwhile investment
