For the past 2 years, I've been having misfire issues at high rpm's (7,000 +). The sled will only do it when it gets warmed up. I want to confirm that I do not have any rub through before I begin looking into the stator / cdi.
Where exactly am I looking for the issue? Do I need to remove the pipes to gain better access to the harness? I already have the air box and carbs off for cleaning right now.
Also, how exactly does the oiling system work on these. There are no oil lines going to the carb? Do I need to bleed the oil pump or anything when I do put the carb back on?

Yea, if you could add information about wire rub-through, that would be great. I did find that one of my pilot jets was plugged, so I am assuming / hoping that will solve my bogging / idle problem. Now to just fix the high rpm misfire.
