With the radar run season nearly here I am thinking of running Klotz or equivelant race fule. Can anyone tell me if I will benifit from this and what octane you recomend? Is there any detrimental issues with running race fule?
I was thinking Klotz 108 or 110.

More octane will make you slower. You only need to run the fuel that your motor requires to keep from eating pistons.
Engines do not make more h.p. by throwing higher octane fuel in them. It will actually make them lose h.p. The only time you need to start upping your octane number is when you start building higher compression engines. Engines make the most power with the lowest octane fuel that they will run on without blowing up. I run a stock SRX700 and for radar runs I run 89 octane only. if it is a really cold day I will run 91-93 octane.

YOU RUN RACE FUEL TODAY IN A PRE- 4 STROKE ENGINE FOR PROTECTION , NOT TO GO FASTER. AND YOU USE A SMALL AMOUT. 3:16 (yammie tony)
