has anyone strengthened their w-arm on there pro-action sleds? i know they are prone to breaking and i don't want to spend money on a new one and so i thought i could weld some supports in. just wondered if anyone has done this or if anyone has pictures of how they did it or where they usually break so i can weld it up. thanks!

Had mine welded twice on my srx.The first time i just had the cracks welded. The second time i had it reinforced with chromoly gussets and it just broke somewhere else.Broke at the top first ,then middle, then at the bottom the last time.I just bought a viper s-hopefully it will hold up better with the extra travel.Im just going to stiffen everything up so it doesnt bottom out easily.I might buy the reinforced w arm from maximum performance just in case i need it.

Yup, had mine done on my 01 SRX. I used the picture above as an example and brought it to a local welder. He scaled the picture and welded mine up the same as the picture. He did a very nice job. No problems so far.

Guys,

I have logged close to 7000 miles on pro action suspensions ie: 97 SX and 00 SXr without cracking or breaking the W arm once. At 300 lbs plus I should have done some damage if you guys are busting them more than once. Now I do not try to fly. These sleds are not made to fly but I am skipping the bottoms of some of those monster moguls. Is the set-up that makes them more prone to break or is it the 5-6 foot of air and the crisp landing that is damaging the W arms ?
