I have a 97 sx700 and the once red hood is now faded pretty bad.. No sunspots or bad cuts, so I was wondering how these would look with a good buff or using some rubbing compound.. Any ideas?

I had a red Vmax and when I got it, the hood was semi faded, I gave it a few coats of good quality wax, and it helped alot! I figured for sure I would need to take it to work and get the glaze, compound and buffing wheel out, but nope. I would see if wax helps at all first...

NOVUS #2 works great for bringing back shine to dull paint. You can buy the kit that has #'s 1,2 &3 in it. #1 is for final shine up, 2 is for fine scratches and dullness, # 3 is for deeper scratches. Been using it for years now. Great for scratches on windshields, and helmet shields too.
