So, last year my VMax 500's motor locked up on me with 11,000 miles on it. The motor was completely rebuilt, but I can not get the oil pump to function. I am currently running premix in it. The cable has been adjusted to within spec, and I've tried started it and running it with the oil pump wide open. The oil line has also been bled. The oil is still not pumping. Everything I have read has said that when these pumps fails they go to wide open. I'm ready to just buy a new pump and see if that works, but I hate to spend $150 for something that may or may not work. Am I missing something here?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yep. I've made sure all air is out. On my VMax 4 I had some air in the lines, and once I started it, the oil pump was able to pump everything through. Maybe this pump is just too weak?

I always hear they go wide open or quit working when they go bad...
If you have oil and the system is bled it is probably no good....

Looks like it's time to drop the cash and just buy a new one. Thanks for the help.
