Hi-
I have gotten my first sled.... a 1989 SRV for a good price...free
I want to install a taller windshield ( i know, lame, but I normally ride short distances and usually skip the helmet)
I grew up on my Father's 1987 XL-V, and that had a sweet high windshield....Will one of those fit on my SRV?
Thanks
Great forum!

AHHHH, the SRV is a sweet old ride. ( i wish i still had mine in my collection) the windshield from the xlv should work , along with many other parts. they are the same sled xcept for the front suspension and the seat

Yep same style just 3 feet higher lol
Thanks guys for the quick reply....Just ordered a new windshield for an XL-V, Will let you know once I get it fitted.
I have many memories riding with on my Dad's XL-V, mainly the laughs people gave on the trail for how tall the windshield was....until they rode it and saw how comfy it is
I dug this sled out of someone's porch they built around it 8 years ago...(had to partially dismantle)...he gave me the thousands in receipts from the engine rebuild and parts he put into it....the year before his girlfriend stored it
I love it because its plenty fast for me, and hopefully will prove to be a reliable rig....do miss the electric start tho
