Hey guys got a question. I have been doing some preseason maintenance and I pulled my speedo gear and the bearing grease cover off to find no grease in the bearing! I was also going to replace the speedo key because it was snapped.
I am pretty sure that I greased it last year but I guess not. My question is what do I do next. How hard is it to take off this bearing and remove it. I have manual. Please help I was going to go riding over the new year!
TIPS?

You can remove the bearing without pulling the shaft, or the chaincase. Loosen off the set screws first, then pull it off. It might take some fairly heavy pounding to remove it, or, if you're lucky, it may just slide right off.

Left Side Drive Bearing

Sometimes The Are A Bit Tight. You Can Borrow A Pitman Arm Puller From Any Automotive Guy And It Works Great. Just Pulled One On My 2001 Srx With This Type Puller And It Worked Fine

Sorry about the hastie post guys I got her all changed out. The speedo key was fun but everything else went really smooth. Lubed her up and off she came:)

Whats this about lubing the drive shaft bearing... Where do I look and how do I get it done.. Sleds new to me this season.

If you take off your secondary clutch. There will be 3 bolts that hold your speedo gear to the tunnel (look down). Take that off and there will be a speedo square key to pull out and then you can get at the plastic/rubber cover on the bearing. With a pick and some patience remove the cover, pack the bearing and replace the seal and put it back together. Do the same thing with the other bearing that is connected to the secondary clutch shaft and you are good to go. Cheers
