2000 SRX problem, too much fuel? Updated.

Alright so today I was trail riding and when I first start the sled it's cold of course and it sounds great, exactly what it should sound like. It idles fine, however once the sled gets warm it idles like crap even after adjusting to idle higher and when I'm driving it seemed to have some power from 20km/h to 80km/h( not nearly as much as usual) once I hit 80 though to get any faster I have to pin it and then it doesn't accelerate even half as fast as it should. Today was the first ride on it and it never did this last year, on my way out I could barely hit 130km/h and once we decided to turn around and head back home it would have been a struggle to get past 100km/h. It also used a ton of fuel today, in 50 km of riding it used over 30L.

So before the season started carbs were cleaned and so were the power valves, which were also set, brand new spark plugs and fresh 91 octane, I even drained the old gas that had been in there for like 3 weeks. I checked the belt and it was good.

So what could this be? Because I have no idea.

When you cleaned your carbs did you put everything back together properly?? I would take them apart and see what's going on in there..

its my smile went i punch the srx and the other way at the end of the stretch lollllll

Are you getting heat out of each cylinder? Address the issue one step at a time. If you are getting all holes to fire, check carb adjustments/Choke cable too. If you choke is out of adjustment you could be pouring way too much fuel in when warm. Let us know what you find.

So I took the carbs off and everything was okay and in the right place, I put it back together and took it for a spin. The power seemed fine till about 80km/h. The choke was adjusted because I had taken it off to get the carbs out. Once the sled warmed up the idle seemed a lot better then it was when I first had this problem( it wanted to stall out when idling even after bumping the idle up, it did stall a couple times after this) once it was back together it idled fine- around 1300rpm. So I took it too about 70km/h and pinned it, it picked up speed quick( although the field I was in there wasn't much snow so I backed off at about 110. It was too the bar and I didn't seem like it was accelerating as fast as it normally does, but it was better then when I had the initial problem. So I put it up on my track stand and ran it on there, I pinned it on there and the speedo/track moved like they should, there wasn't any bogging past 80km/h and I had the speedo showing 160, maybe slightly more. So it seemed good, although does having no resistance on the track make it different then when I was driving it on a trail?

Thanks, any input would help.

i would not be reving on stand every year i hear a story about snapping the track and completely taking out what ever was behind it, luckly not a person
