oil injection cable stuck extended

Anyone ever had a oil pump cable stuck open/extended? went thru a qt of oil in 40 miles. ended up burning up the center cylinder yesterday>ring came apart and scored the cylinder, knicked up the head and Fu@%ed up the piston
 

with all that oil in there yet..don't say..It's probably your gas that is the issue.Gonna be a lot of burndowns before this season is over...a record amount.
 
just don't allow any doo guys to come in here and read amount a bunch of Yami guys blowing their motors,won't look good for us..lol..The word will spread...lol
 
what does my gas have to do with it? riden a 200 hundred miles so far this year with 3 new tanks of fuel>
 
is it a stock viper ?? did u do a carb check before season ...for some reason that cylinder did run lean ...running to mutch oil lean the engine how come it was stock extended
 
bought the sled this year. the guy i bought it from added a boost bottle and vforce reeds with spacers. that makes everything a bit tight between the carbs and the airbox> we noticed the cable was pulled apart when looking at it yesterday when i noticed it only running on 2. I cleaned the carbs when i bought it> carbs were clean
 
Yes I've done this on my viper as well as my brothers sx after having the airbox out to clean carbs. The cable came out of the adjuster so the oil pump was wide open right? I went through a tank of oil in about 160 miles. Didn't have a burn down issue however. Something else not right?
 
thats exactly right. not sure what caused this,but the ring broke and fu@$ed up the piston,cylinder and head.
 
Well that really sucks. Makes me wonder what could have happened to me. Hopefully someone can chime in and hook you up with a good deal on a cylinder and head. I don't have anything to give ya.
