I have a 1998 SRX 700 that will run. I just pulled it out for the season and I can not get it to go. I started by putting gas in each cylinder and it fired right up but then would not stay running(did this about 4 times). I then pulled the carbs and cleaned them. I put more gas in the cylinders and it fired up and then ran out of gas again. I then put the choke on full and pull about 25 times and nothing. It is still not getting gas. Any ideas?
Fuel Pump? Check the bowls, see if they are filling with fuel.
check your fuel pump.....
If the pump is working, check your fuel lines.....
Do you have an in line filter??? is it bad???

I dont think the bowls are filling and there is no inline filter. Does a fuel pump make sense the sled ran great when I put it away. The crappy part is I pulled my other sled last night and it does the exact same thing.
I dont see 2 fuel pump's on differnt sled's both crapping out at the same time, did you drain fuel and put in new, maybe new plug'smikekirchner said:I dont think the bowls are filling and there is no inline filter. I have not done the fuel drain yet. And I figured the plugs are good just because it fires right up with gas down the cylinders. Am I wrong about that?
im no plug expert by any means, but i had a cylinder not hitting on my srx, pulled the plug layed it on the head stud pulled it over and that thing was sparking like a taser gun, long and blue, thought no way it was the plug, but put a new one in anyway, fired it up hitting on all three, was that plug bad,
, but ran fine with a new one

Are the sleds warm? Could have ice in the bottom of the tank from sitting. Start with fresh Fuel. Drain out old and put in new. Dry plugs off, or replace, and pull. I usually avoid fuel in the cylinders, you really shouldnt need it and it can cause more problems. Cant stress enough; clean carbs and fresh fuel, biggest problem these sleds face.

No the sled are not warm. I went out and blew into the gas tank vent tube and pulled it a few times and still no gas in the lines. I think disconnected the line by the airbox that leads into the gas tank. I blew into that and gas came shooting back out. I blew into the line going to the fuel pump and it seems free of obstruction. I dont really know what else to do. I am thinking about putting a primer bulb in between the tank and fuel pump. Is this a good idea or no? Does it sound like a fuel pump issue?

Try getting them in a warm garage. I would not put a primer bulb in.
