My dad has a pretty nice Viper I am thinking about buying for the wife to ride. It has 5800 miles on it, Electric Start, Reverse and a 1.25 Ripsaw. Also has Ohlins Clickers from an 04 Viper on it. What do you guys think a fair price for it would be? Thanks for the input!

if he was to put it on ebay, id say somewhere between 2 and 3 grand, i think the price of new sled's at 10-15 grand is helping this old iron hold it's value better than in the past

vipers are really holding their value around here. looking locally, they still get $3000.00-4500.00 canadian dollars. if he wants to let it go for $1000.00, i would say buy it right away especially as you know the sled pretty well. heck even two grand is a awsome price.

I'd buy that in a heartbeat !!! I'd actually advise you to jump on it before someone else scoops it from him !!! Should be a fairly comfy sled to ride and that's really not high mileage. Might be time for a top end next summer and I'd check the drive sprocket bearings for sure. Other than that check the chaincase oil and off to the trails you go !!

considering you could get 500 for the fropnt shocks i would snap it up. hell i would drive out there from MN to get it for a grand. locally the 03-04s are right aroun 3 grand with 5-7 thousand miles on them

smokin deal, goes anywhere between 2 and 3 here depending on what its like, this looks like a really nice one so i would say closer $3,000 especially with the ohlins, they are getting tough to find, i would like to find a set, missed out on the closeout they just had recently, ohlins stopped making them so the only way to get em is to find someone that already has em. very nice sled, i would definetely snach that one up if i were you.

02 viper with reverse and electric start go for aprox $3000-$3500 currently in atlantic canada when in good shape...$1000.is a steal!

He was thinking about asking $1000 for it. I think it's worth a little more than that?

Mine has twice the miles on it and I'd light it on fire before I'd let it go for $2,000 never mind a $1,000.Sounds like someone is going to get a helluva deal.

i'm not sure that's a very good deal - why dont you shoot me his number and i''ll talk to him for ya.

$2,000 is fair for both of you. People like to think they are worth close to $3,000 but what one thinks it's worth and what it actually sells for are two different numbers. I see Vipers for sale everywhere with an asking price ranging from $1,500 up to $3,800. I don't see many of them being sold either. Seems as though the only deals happening around here are absolute steals if you can find one.

Like everything else sleds go for higher prices here in Canada.I've never seen one priced less than $3,200 even with a ton of miles.

I dont think its worth anything, tell your dad I will dispose of it properly and not risk anyones saftey with a old worn out sled like that, I have room to lay it to rest in the corner of my shop.....LOL

nice machine. ;)!
