2000 SRX 700.Oil cable was at 20 mm and was running 86:1.Reduced it to 18 mm and it only dropped to 70:1.Any body running these at 16 mm or less?Cable and pump both look to be operating correctly.Went through about 12 gallons of gas at mostly 1/2 to wide open throttle.I figured it should have used more oil with all the high speed running but no way.Didn't blow up and plugs looked perfect.

I think you might be going the wrong way. The tighter the cable housing/more gap uses more oil. Pulling it all the way out of the housing is wide open. What kind of injector oil are you running?

As you make the gap smaller it pulls the pump lever more.Stroke is the same but it starts higher.I run regular Castrol snowmobile oil.Always have without a problem.I thought maybe aftermarket cable but it has what looks to be Yamaha markings on it or a bent pump bracket which is hard to tell. All I know is the ratio is high.I'm going to richen it up anyway but I was wondering if anybody else had to go this far to get it right.

tree pm blue monster1 he was doing what you are with the oil pump or do a search on here, might be in the tech section

The ex owner set the oil pump at 24mm and it was way too high.
I put it down to 19mm and its right on the $$$. Just have to turn the fuel screws a tad to lessen that idle hang. ;)!
