I put a 1.25" Camoplast Predator track on my '99 SX 600 about 500 miles ago. The sled has been long traveled front and rear with Viper shocks and components. The track is hitting the tunnel protectors on sharp bump and dips no matter how I set up the suspension. I can see grooves in some of the paddles where it is rubbing the protectors. My question is how long does it take for the track to wear in to were it is not making that terrible noise anymore? The track tension is set correctly, the W-arm was remove/gusseted/rewelded so it is not broken, the bearing on all wheels were repaced, the shocks are in good condition, the suspsension has new bushings and is fully lubed so I am thinking that it is just the fact that the track is going to have to wear-in or I am going to have to use a hot-knife to carve out the paddles that are hitting the protectors.
Any info you can pass along would be much appreciated.

cut the little numbs on the top of the paddles where it is hitting the protectors and see if that is enough?
it is actually hitting on the webbing between the nubs and wearing two grooves in them.
