any one running the h/c-x with the h/c primary kits on the srx? tons of info here on the button style seconday but cant find any thing about the roller type

Yup

Ran one for a year. Played around tuning it a lot. Excellent backshift. I've gone back to a button.....I find it to be much more consistent and all around better.

I purchased a roller secondary last year and installed it. It came set up for flat land, but also came with a helix and spring for Mountains.

I installed it and I like it a lot. I did not know it was a Heel Clicker Roller-X until I posted pics on here of it and another identified my seconday as a HC Roller-X.

While I'm not as learned as Mad Matt, and I certainly am no clutching Jedi, I think it is better then the stock secondary, which is what I had on there before. Great back shift and seems to be smoother and quicker than prior to swap.

On my primary I run HC 40-10's with the red spring, so i run the whole HC set up.

Different set up

That appears to be an entire secondary set up. Mine was the Heel Clicker unit that bolted onto the stock Yamaha secondary. Maybe your set-up works a little better as it is an entire unit. I just find the button secondary to be much more consistent as snow conditions and temperatures change. Personal preference also has a heck of a lot to do with it. Personally I am willing to trade off A LITTLE backshift for consistency and increased top end performance. It's all opinion and that's what this guy is looking for so I think this should be valuable information for him.
