98 srx 700 powervalve problem?no working at all..

hey guys... heres my problem..just got a 98 srx 700..the powervalves dont move at all...i know when starrted the servo cycles over and it doesnt even do that..also the rpm guage works half the time....any clues??thanx

you got some wires rubbed thru somewhere,better dig into it and fix it.

Yep wore threw wires under motor. Pull out and re route them after you fix.

start over by the cdi where the wires run by the steering hoop and look for rubs. unhook the plug from the cdi and the plug from the mag and check wire for wire for continuity.

if all that checks out, then look at the wires under the engine.
