I've been chasing electrical issues this season so far. It will intermittently fire on 3, 2, or 1 cylinders. Its not always the same cylinders cutting out. It will run perfect for an hour, then start running on 1 cylinder again. I'm sick of chasing this issue, I'm going to replace everything in 1 shot. (I've already cleaned out / checked all connections for corrosion, and looked over all parts of the harness for rubthrough and have yet to fine anything).
So for a stator can I use any stator from a 700 srx or viper that is from an 00 or newer?
For a cdi, can I use any cdi from a 700 srx or viper that is from an oo or newer?
It looks like I can use any srx (600 or 700) harness from any year?
Any input would be great. I just want to be able to take this thing out without worrying that I'm going to get stranded.

well, no not quite, for a 01 srx you need: a 01 srx cdi box, as the plugs and harness are differnt from yr to yr.(you use a 2002 srx box with 02 hrness and add the dcs)
for wire harness, again only 2001, unless you found a 2002 srx harness and added the dcs system.
flywheel is the same from 2000-02 srx and all yrs viper, as is the stator for these years.

Are jugs and pistons the same from year to year? I just discovered that I have major damage on one of the cylinders.
Cylinders, pistons, + heads from 2000,2001, + 2002 SRX are the same. The 1998/99 SRXs had different porting and slightly less compression.
