removing phazer oil injection question

Doesn't the tach feed come off the oil pump drive? When I did my 91. I just looped the lines coming off the pump and added a little grease to the tach drive ever year so that it was lubed and kept working. If I didn't lube it, the tach would do some funky things. Ran it for a few years that way.

I put a set of flatslides from a vmax 600 on my Phazer, with a small mod i got my oil injection working these pics show the basic idea of how i did it, Cable is ziptied into place till i can fab a bracket zero problems with it yet!

How well does it run? Did you feel any improvement? I have heard of this mod. Is it worth all the trouble?

how sure getting right amount of oil? coming off arctic cats were had tons of reliability issues ( main reason for going yamaha)

well i took mesurments from the stock setup for the oil pump cable, and throttle reponce is better, i had to rejet new pilot and adjusted the needles but i would say its worth it!

Are you getting the same pull on the cable as the stock set? I just received my set of flat sides. What Needle and clip position, Main and Pilot jets are you using? Just looking for a starting point.

yup same pull, I am running 150 mains needle stock position and using 47.5 pilot jets, but i just bought a psi pipe last night so will jet up a bit, your carbs from a 600 vmax 38mm right?

Do you have any more photos of the oil cable install? I am interested in the way you mounted the adjusting part of the cable.
