Hey everyone

My slides have completely broke off (got it like that) and i'm missing some clips on my track. is it safe to run without slides and clips?
i found this site that sells slides
http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/550-613.html?mv_arg=2
can i get replacement clips
any other sites you guys suggest?

Thanks for your help everyone. It's been a slow process to get this sled to running condition!

By slides, do you mean hyfax? I wouldn't run a sled without hyfax. Missing a clip or two isn't a big deal I believe. I have a few missing (well I took them off) of my SRX. Alot of the newer tracks aren't fully clipped either. But I'd think you'd want hyfax on your rails.

Sorry I'm not familiar with all the parts of the snowmobile at the moment still new at this! Not exactly sure what hyfax is! All i'm going with is what i saw on the parts catalog. Track suspension 2, item #3 Runner, sliding.
The one on it right now is all damaged and sticking out everywhere so i pulled the majority off. i just want to make sure I'm getting the best and proper replacement part

Well for some reason my browser doesn't like your link, but it really sounds like you are talking about hyfax. There's lots of opinions on hyfax and which to use. I tend to use yamaha hyfax. I got my last pair at the snow show for $20 total. You can get them with graphite added to they supposedly last longer. It seems to me that the cheaper you go the faster you wear through them. If you run on any ice or asphalt (aka along a road) you will go through them faster. They rely on snow to cool and lubricate the hyfax material.

That's a hyfax and you need them. I'm in the US so I usually get my stuff from one of the vendors on here (Port Yamaha or Rich) or go to cyclepartswarehouse for stuff. Shipping to Canada may be a pain. If you have a local sled shop or Yamaha dealer call them and see if they carry it and the price. In my opinion Kimpex/Sno-Stuff hyfax wear faster than Yamaha hyfax. But that's "regular" hyfax and I'm not familiar with the fancier kinds. They will generally still make this hyfax profile. You may need to cut it to length.

Perfect i called my local Yamaha dealer and they actually have it in stock 18 bucks each!
Thanks for your help!
