hello guys, a couple simple questions for someone, when you set you're float level a little higher is this less or more fuel at idle? also when checking resistance in you're plug caps, what do you set you're ohm meter on? what should the reading be ? thanks guys for any help!

a higher float level will give more fuel at all throttle settings. plug caps should read 5000 ohms +/- 10%. not sure on what meter you have but just set it to something above 5k ohm. 7.5 or 10k will work, if you don,t get a stable reading close to the spec replace the caps.

In theory I'd agree about float level but in practice IMO the difference in head pressure between float level at spec vs. slightly raised isn't going to affect a/f ratio especially at idle. IOW - I wouldn't be changing float level to compensate for a lean pilot or more critically a lean main jet.
Now, playing with bowl pressures is a whole 'nother story...

float level?
thanks, guys, sled was running a little lean, but found that carbs were dirty, will test tomorow and see if any difference ,
