just replaced the head gasket noticed that there is no thermostat, what gives? I checked Yamaha oem parts and it doesn't show one, anybody?

nope.none at all on 600 and 700's except the SRX and maybe Viper.Correct me if I am wrong somebody...lol

Not a thermostat only an electronic thermosensor for telling you something is not right. I added an inline temperature probe/gauge to my 600SX prior to fill cap. Its nice to have especially in low warm conditions.
