My 01 srx wont shift all the way out everytime. It seems to shift out correctly if I go full throttle from less than 5K it will wind out everytime. If I am cruising along the trail at say 50-60 mph and I punch it it will only hit maybe 7500-7800rpms. Or if I am in the twisties I have seen it only hit 6500 if I punch it. The sled has a bender cold air kit, helix and silencer and V force reeds that I did not install.
sounds like power valve issue .. cable pull thru or broken cable...helix to big will need more info .......

More Than Likely Your Primary Bushings; Moveable Sheave And/or Cap Are Shot. You Should Shim The Spider If It Is Sloppy While You Are Working On It. Service The Clutches And Your Sled Will Prolly Perform Better Than Ever.

The sled has less than 4000 miles so I kinda doubt it is the primary. The secondary has a Bender 47/43 with a black spring with a green stripe. It was set at 0 on the helix and 2 on the clutch I just picked up the sled so I haven't done anything to it. I haven't had a chance to pull the primary apart yet.

my primary was completely junk @ 5000 miles so don't be so sure. unless you've owned it since new you cant say what kind of abuse and neglect its had
Secondary
You may need to wrap the secondary a little tighter. Try 60 or 70. 20 is a little light.

theres your problem..wrap at 20..no real belt contact in secondary..belt slips to much.Never heard of 20 wrap before,,norm is 80 for them sleds.Do not go into deep snow..no backshift will occur,,it will be like you in fourth gear

If thats a Yamaha spring in there...x2....
Some aftermarket springs though don't match the normal indexing numbers.
I changed the wrap to 80 seemed to help but not alot. It has also has a bender yellow blue spring on the primary not sure what the weights are. Does anybody have a good set up for my primary using Yamaha parts. I am about to pull everything off and make it stock.
