dumb question. what type of tool do i use to measure MM? I know, im gonna get an answer like a measuring tape, but do they have MM metric tapes? im trying to set the throttle freeplay, and not sure how to measure 2 mm... i also need to check the oil cable gap as im not kidding, but my sxr 700 is using like a quart of oil every 50 miles or so.. so something wrong, checking cable before i have to see if i can afford a dealer replace a oil pump... sled is 2000 sxr 700 with 1400 miles on it
2mm is very close to 1/8 inch, just under. I guess more like 3/16"

I like to use dial calipers. the digital type usually have a mm scale.

Try Harbor frieght or even HD/Lowes for a cheap plastic caliper.
