my oil sensor is flashing every now and then, even if full...I understand that these early models(2000) were known to have bad sensors...my question is, can you remove the sensor with the oil full? or do you have to wait for it to drop below the sensor opening? i dont want oil all over the place...also, before i purchase a new one, is there a chance of the old one being stuck? and all i need is to remove it, and move it up and down? im not sure how these sensors work....thanks, Pete
I had to replace one last year, I just waited till the oil level was down below the sensor

Thanks Kevin
are they fixable? is there just a float in there, or does it work by another means? I want to take the old one out first and look at it...unless of course, a new sensor is cheap...im not sure what they run
