i'm looking to put plastic skis in my '94 phazer with the tss. i found two skis i like, camoplast blowmolded ski and the kimpex plastic ski. the kimpex uses a metal saddle(with four bolts thru the saddle to the ski) to attach the spindle to the ski. the camoplast is blowmolded and the ONE bolt attatches the spindle thru the plastic "ears" that raise up from the ski. the kimpex looks sronger in the long run but is more expensive. after use with the camolast, will use over time fatigue the plastic that the bolt goes thru?(i assume there is a bushing of some sort in there.) because if that crackes on the camoplast ski there will be now way to put a good fix on it. aany pros with knowledge on these skis?

I would chose the kimpex. The camoplast ones are junky junk. What color handle, bottoms and size carbide you looking for ? I can throw you a price.
it depends on the price difference for the color skis. i found a guy that will do skis, handles, all mounting hardwear and carbides for 270 ish. i wouldn't mind all red or black skiis with red handles and 4 or 6 inch carbides(probably 4). i would need all the mounting hardwear too. let me know. sorry for the slow reply time, been busy teaching the kids to ride the z 120 that somehow got purchased for them with out mom knowing....................

You know, when I first saw the blow molded camoplasts on cast in like 99-2000, I swore they would break and not last because they had the no metal saddle like richierich mentioned. A friend bought a brand new 00 panther and his are holding up just fine even 12 years later. He even had his xtra sized wife on it most of the time with him so if they can hold up to that extra abuse, they can't be that bad.

Keep in mind that the new camoplasts are different enough than the ones put on AC's to the point that they don't use the same carbides, but I don't think structurally they are that different.
