Hey I was wondering if a rx1 skid will bolt right in to my 99 sx600?? Does anyone know the amount of travel that suspension has? Is it a good choice to replace the stock skid?

Depends on which skid. The 05 RX1 came with a Mono skid that would be a nice update, but wont bolt directly in. The Pro-Action skid used in many of the 03-04 RX1's wont be much of an upgrade.
You'd be better off going with a skid from another manufacturer(Cat,Poo,Doo) or an Aftermarket skid. Or even updating your shocks with something from one of the Shock builders (HyGear,Carver,Pioneer...etc)

03-04 rx1 skid will bolt right up and is long travel compared to yours (11.5' travel).
