Was wondering how I can get less ski pressure out of my sled. Seems to be ski heavy and want less ski pressure. I have herd of loosing the front strap but it is already loose. On my old Rx warrior it had adjustable transfer rods. Wondered if there was something to do to change the ski weight. Thanks

reduce the spring preload on the ski shocks. how much thread do you have showing now between the locknuts and the bottom mount bolt?

could be one or both of the shocks are due for a rebiuld. a loss of nitrogen or low oil will create heavy steering.

is that the first year pro mountain skid? should still have adjustable t-rods as well as the skid shocks. tighten the preload on the front skid shock and reduce preload using the pillow adjuster blocks.

you can also try the optional mount hole.

This is a 2004 Viper mountain. The front shocks should be fine as I just had them rebuilt. Will take a look at the other things. But the transfer rods in the skid appear not to be adjustable. Dunnno

Search around in the Mountian Sled forum. I've read that some take out the transfer rods and put limiter straps in their palce

x2

My 2004 MNT Viper with 156" track was the Transfe rods removed and replaced with limiter straps. I also upgraded to Ohlins in the rear after I bought the sled used in 2007...sled was mint, just had a great price on the shocks plus being 6'3 and 230lbs - sure helped the ride.

This is my third winter running without (3000)km them and I have not had any issues yet.
