Hi guys,,, just picked up this sled....i am in the process of cleaning out the carbs as it has terrible midrange bog....i have done some searching on here...
Which direction do you turn the airscrew mixture to lean it out....i know factory is 1 1/8 turns out....
Is it easy to adjust the clip on the needle???? these carbs look different on the top then other ones....

Clean your primary and secondary clutch. You can't imagine how much unnecessary information I learned about the carbs on these machines when my root problem was clutch related. Unless you changed altitude the jet setting is likely ok.
Just for good measure, clean both carbs. Remove every jet (counting turns on the way out). Anything that can be removed must be removed and cleaned thoroughly.
Do a search for clutch cleaning tips. You can't believe the world of difference this will make. Otherwise you'll be chasing the problem in circles. A clutch that does not backshift will behave like a carb problem.
Of course there are more items to check next, but I bet you find your problem in one of the above.
