My primary is engaging at 4300 rpm's and I would like to get it closer to 4000. Any suggestions?

If you told us year make model of sled I could suggest a primary spring that could get you very close. Also if it has stock clutching in it now. Need more info!!!!

I would say try a softer spring.

engagement?
Watersuper, Did you just buy this sled or is this somthing that just started this year? 1st check belt wear and make sure belt is correct. Is the sled stock set up? Doen't sound like it, Any shims installed on your primary? Less shims, lower engagement. If extra shims installed, Try removing one shim at a time until you hit proper engagement. Hope this helps

Sled is a 2000 Vmax with Turks setup. 51/43 Maxx. Perf. helix; green spring @ 60 degree twist.
8-CH weights w/ 4.5g in heel & 3.1 in tip with W-S-W spring. No Shims.
Springs and belt are new. Clutch alignment is dead on.
Motor has 2 layer head gasket, notched reed stoppers, and Maxx. Perf. bored stock silencer.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
