Bought my srx and it had many problems - only paid 1400 for it so figured if i put another Grand into it, i would still be ahead...knew the front cooler had a hole when i bought it - I welded it, clutch was cracked badly but the engine looked to be rebuilt and ran pretty good. Started by dropping the track inspected the w arm it was broke so I rebuilt that and re-enforced the w arm...bought a new track 1" predator... replaced the speedo drive bearing and gear, bought a used clutch rebuilt that with... set up from moparrules..(thanks Josh) got it running and back together just before christmas... we had a little snow...ran it in yard and field behind house for a little bit; really didnt like the way it was idling and had a low end bog....so removed the carbs to clean them ...found one of the air fuel screws tightend all the way and stripped couldnt get it out...so bought a rack cleaned them, took all jets and pilots out of old carbs, put in new carbs, put carbs on, it idled great and ran ok for a while. then started boging on high side and missing.. o crap right... so pulled carbs again and found all three float bowl plugs loose and one missing... what a relief.. tightened plugs and reinstalled carbs. It runs suberb! Thanks for all the help from all of you who gave advice and tech section, for allowing me to rebuild this sled on my own. Couldn't have done it without this great site and your input. Those I got parts from . . .thanks, you know who you are! I know this sled like the back of my hand now.
