freshly groomed trail, 50mph, 3 foot ditch running through the middle of it. It was dusk with no caution signs and the rest is history......Im gonna upload pics of my machine tomorrow. Im thinking it needs at least a trailing arm, radius rod, rear bumper...etc.....My friend paced it out and said it was a 110 feet to my landing which resulted in 3 broken bones in my lower back. Im thinking about selling it as I cant ride for the rest of the year....but then again It rode well on the way home with the exception of the rod and trailing arm. Thank god It was a none paralysis injury! god is good.

Sorry to hear about your accident. Hope you heal well and fast ! I have 3 vertebrae that are fused in my lower back from a compression fracture years ago! I raced motocross and had a lot of serious getoffs over the years ! I had an Xray done about 5 years ago beacause I was having back trouble. That's when they told me I had broke my back at some point in my life and now 3 verts are permanently fused !!

jeez thats crazy! Im glad you pulled through. Im on my first hours out of the hospital so its gonna be a long road.

Man you are lucky!!! Worry about the sled later!! Just work on getting better first!! Good luck man I broke the last vertabre in my back in a car accident in 1999 and my back has never been the same since.

SRX 700.......Would you honestly be able to worry about the sled later ?????? I wouldn't ! I'd be in the garage wrenching and recouping at the same time !! Even if it was just to watch a buddy do the work cause I couldn't !! Chin up hizzo ! At least you got to ride this season !! Looks like I won't make it to Maine again this year GGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR !!!!!!!!! I love it there and would be living there if it weren't for my sweet job I have here. I have it made where I'm at for now ! Only prob is you get fat and lazy working maintenance at a candy factory !! HAHAHA

I am glad to hear that you're alright. That's really scary. Good thing you were driving a responsible speed and not racing or something, it could have easily been so much worse (I know you probably don't feel that way right now). Hope and pray you have a speedy recovery

I can relate. Dec 11. First ride of the season. Thought the trail was long and straight, I missed the one turn in it. 8 broken ribs plus a 6 hour hike out of the woods. Sled has minor damage and I hope to start repairs this weekend.

God is good. Heal fast. Ride safe everyone.

But your spirit is not broken. Keep it that way!
Couple of weeks ago, at speed similiar to yours (I think) I hit an ice heave I didn't see on that cloudy day. Almost flipped the sled over onto myself. Phew!...

Sounds very similar to an experience I had a few years back on my srx on a nice groomed straight away there was the same sort of unmarked ditch witch untill your about 20 feet away you dont see. I was doing about 40 at the time but just from all my weight going to the right side foot well I crinkled the trailing arm and skinned my wrist a bit from handlebars. I cant believe they arnt marked better. Sorry to hear about you r luck I hope you get back soon!
