on the Viper.. Are they as easy to remove as they look? Just the bolt under the hood and the one down by the ski?
A local shop rebuilds them, uses amsoil , and has the nitrogen $30 per shock..
I guess the only thing I was concerned about is if it will mess up anything as far as the alignment or any other issues when I remove the shock.. Do I have to mark anything, or is it literally a few bolts and thats it?

2 bolts, pull it off, get it rebuilt, reinstall. no marks. just a shock, bolt off, bolt on

sometimes those little darts in the windshield can be a pain in the ***, plastic screws strip and gotta pry out... shocks are easier
Ha. I didn't have my jackstands. So the toughest part was finding something to hold up the front bumper to take the tension off the springs

I would support by the center of the bellypan, where it is metal. the bumper could break.
Ive never seen a bumper break .. But I suppose your idea sounded better

I have seen them break. not usually from that, but the idea that the whole sleds weight is on that one point just leaves me leery. and less stable when you are trying to get those shocks on and off
