Muffler sliding off manifold

2003 Viper, Muffler sliding off Y pipe. Do springs need replacement? 5,000 miles on it.

When it is idling does the springs move around? Is there alot of pressure on the springs or do they feel loose?

It sounds like the two retainer springs are streched or cracked. replace the springs, inexpensive repair.
