Viper ( 2004 ) What engine bracket/mount to use with Electric start ??

Hi !

Today I have mounted a brand new OEM Yamaha Electric Start Kit on a Viper Mountain ( 2004 ) and everything working just fine !!

....But the Left front engine bracket will not fit now when the electric start motor is there mounted on the crankcase.

What engine mount/bracket to use instead ???

if your mount has three holes in it, it is from a srx. Used to help stop the mount and or bolt from breaking off on hard landings or drag racing. It is not nessasary if you use the engine torque arm behind the motor. Just grind off that part of the mount or get a viper front mount. I am sure there are many around as this is a common upgrade.
grinding off is as cheap as it gets though.

It is the front left engine mount/bracket that not fit now after the electric starter sits partly in its place.....

The thing in "RED" is the piece that not fit !

HELP !!

that is the one. you will need to cut the lower of the two holes on it off to make it like an original viper mount.
just set the mount on the bench, put the starter on top of it where they share the same hole, trace the starter mount, then grind it off.

But the sled is an VIPER , not an SRX !!

But it alredy is an Original Viper mount since the sled is an VIPER

Please explain how I make the mount fit the electric starter !
Picture ?

How does this engine mount look like on a VIPER that has Electric Start from factory ?

I have not find any part # for a electric start engine mount...
Does someone know anything about this ?

does your motor mount have three holes, if so, someone has changed it for a srx mount. It was very common to do this. viper mount, has 2 holes.

VIPER mount, has 2 holes.

:o| *sorry* But I do not understand ! :o|

Which holes do you refer to ?
Can you show me on a picture ?

.

number 1 in this picture is a srx mount, if you can not bolt your starter and mount on because one, interferes with the other, you have this mount, it has three holes. If you look up this picture for the viper, they show the same picture, even though it takes a different bracket.
If you have three holes in this bracket, just cut off the lower hole to make room for the starter.
