I have never seen this on any sled, Puttin together a Mr Viper motor, got it from another TY member in a box, miisin a few parts, but got it togehter, ran like a motha then dropped a cylinder, fill full of anti-freeze ancooked it, it's cracked rught under the head where the water rail hooks up, anybodt ever see this before? Man this motor is gettin expensive, never again. It better run like a SOB or it's goin down the rd.

The thing is was it was all just done by Mr. Viper, then shipped back to owner, seems like it would of been spotted, it's a good crack, but then again I didn't see it either, but only slipped it on. Expensive little over sight.

fusion69, I gave you a phone number to call me and you have not done so , I guess your gonna try and find a reason on a world wide web??

I always stand behind any work I do, if its something I do or can help repair, I do so, even for someone who never bought anything from me, like you.

1.) motor was done in 10/2009,not just now, it sat here in a tote for over a year because he (Jason)ran into some tough times and didnt have the money to pay for it.

2.) you had some other shop(eckels) build the engine for you, so now thats 3 people who didnt see a crack, you, eckels, me. So it wasnt a "very evident oversight".

3.) parts are not magnafluxed for cracks, they are simply inspected as to quality of nicasil, bore guage ran thru them and then after they are completed being ported, honed for improved ring seal. A crack in the rear of the cylinder isnt something a porter would be working on, all the ports worked on are in the front.

If you would like help to see what caused it ,contact me, send me some pics thru email, would be happy to help. Maybe the post isnt meant to mean the way it reads, very possible for you cant see a persons face or listen to the voice tone, just read type, so I will just assume you mean no slam and still offer you help if you want it. You have my number.

Mr. Viper, I didn't mean it that way at all, I'm not sure how it has happened, I know it has went thru several hands before assembly, I appreciate all you have done to this part of the build. I didn't call you cause really there is nothing you could do for me, I just ordered another cylinder and gonna have a local guy port it to match yours, Gonna pull 1of the others for him. I also realize, the crack is nowhere near where you did your porting, again sorry if you read this wrong. Steve.
